Social Innovation LAB – CMAX/UDEM

The Social Innovation LAB CU help to transform the impossible into the possible to save and dignify lives.

Due to the complex, systemic, and interrelated nature of the serious social, economic, and environmental problems confronting us, we need entirely new forms of solutions. Clearly, we humans must learn to think differently about our complex world and to work together in unusual and very strategic new ways. We need to more fully see and understand the systems within which we all exist so that we can learn to identify and create conditions for social innovation.

The Social Innovation Lab CMAX UDEM (SIL-CU) was created by Cmax Foundation and University of Monterrey to enables common citizen and change-makers to build sustainable social solutions and create an ecosystem that supports social innovation in regions affected by natural disasters and conflicts.

1-Research

A research phase aims to objectively and rationally uncover the strengths and weaknesses of an existing social problem, opportunities and threats present in the natural environment, the resources required to carry through, and best practices in the specific field, and ultimately the prospects for success.

2-Workshop

The concept of the workshop is to organize intensive multidisciplinary interactions involving around 30 participants fom differents sectors and fields, with the aim of developing new and bold approaches to address grand problems for emergency topics that could benefit from a fresh or divergent perspective. Prior knowledge of research at this interface is not required.

3-Feasibility

A feasibility study evaluates the project’s potential for success; therefore, perceived objectivity is an important factor in the credibility of the study for potential investors, grants and lending institutions. It must therefore be conducted with an objective, unbiased approach to provide information upon which decisions can be based.

4-Implementation

We development a toolkit will help us to clarify goals and manage our work in the best way possible.It examines all the stages of the idea’s adoption and offers practical tools to solve problems and follow certain goals.
